Elder Sharon D. Sampson
Pastor/Teacher

Elder Sharon Sampson was born, reared and still resides in Tyaskin, Maryland. She is an appointed, Holy Spirit filled, woman of God who believes in practicing what she preaches. She feels that the importance of being genuine with her walk with God will display to the world and lost souls that God is real, and His written Word is the road map for mankind's life. At an early age, she became acquainted with Christ and at the age of 13 she received Jesus as her personal Savior.

Since the age of four or five, she began to sing about the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and for over 40 years, she continued to sing God's praises. In 1993, Elder Sampson was ordained and licensed at Freedmans Methodist Church in Tyaskin, Maryland as a singing evangelist.

Upon ordination, it was prophesied that she would not only sing the Gospel, but preach and teach as well. Shortly afterwards, she adhered to the calling on her life and began to pursue education in the field of ministry. After 30 years of membership at Freedmans Methodist Church, in 1996, she moved her membership to Faith Christian Full Gospel Baptist Church in Salisbury, Maryland, where the pastors are Overseer Robert and Co-pastor Carolyn Douglas.

During the eight years at Faith Christian she performed many duties. Elder Sampson was part of the ministerial team and served as the president of the Ministerial Alliance for the church. She taught adult Sunday school, and conducted workshops, teaching-motivational gifts. She also served as the Administrative Assistant and worked in the Christian Education Development office for the District's Full Gospel Fellowship.

Her ministry education consists of classes from the Eastern Shore Bible Institute. Under the direction of Chancellor Rev. Dr. Ray Chamberlain, on July 17, 2004, she graduated from Christian World College of Theology with a Bachelor Degree in Ministry Studies. She was ordained as an Elder, October 18, 2003 at Faith Christian Full Gospel Baptist Church under the leadership of Overseer Robert and Co-pastor Carolyn Douglas.

She is a Secretarial Science graduate of Wor-Wic Community College and has worked in the business field for 30 years. Currently, she is employed for the Wicomico County Department of Social Services in Salisbury, Maryland. She is a part of the Administrative Support Staff for the Assistant Director of the Services Department.

Since 2002, she has been a breast cancer survivor, and gives God the glory for healing her body. She is a volunteer for Reach to Recovery for the Cancer Society. In December, 2004, Elder Sampson resigned from Faith Christian Full Gospel Church to become the pastor/teacher of a new ministry – Rapture Ready Ministries. God gave birth to this teaching ministry through her cancer attack. Her mission is to help prepare people who want to be ready for the “rapture”, either through the catching away or physical death.

Elder Sampson often speaks of how blessed she is to have been married for 29 years to her high school sweetheart, Vaughn. She is the mother of two children, Vanita Sampson-Johnson and VaShawn Sampson; she has two grandsons, DeAndre, Jr. and DreQuan Johnson; one son-in-law, DeAndre Johnson, Sr. and one daughter-in-law, Kristina Collins-Sampson. She is also blessed to have a host of extended family and friends. Most of all, Elder Sampson loves God and gives him all the praise for what He has done in her life. Being a servant for God is her choice; letting Jesus shine through her for others to see is her determination, and striving to be more like Jesus is her goal.
